Global hunger now afflicts nearly a billion people worldwide. Severe acute malnutrition, however, is the more immediate killer: it threatens the lives of 19 million children. Every year at least 3.5 million of them die from malnutrition. Malnutrition is the condition that results from eating a diet in which certain nutrients are lacking,on-related causes.Nearly 842 million people are suffering from Childhood hunger.

Childhood hunger is devastating.Hungry kids are more likely to experience serious short- and long-term health issues. They tend to have trouble learning and are more prone to behavioral and emotional problems.Nearly one in five children in America lives in households that struggle to put food on the table. They may look no different than other children; child hunger in America is often invisible.
