Where did the summer go? Our offices and hallways are bustling with activity as we prepare for the new school year. Below is just the beginning of information that will be coming your way. We can't wait to see you in a few weeks!
Sneak Peek for New Families and Anxious Students
Thursday, August 26th
4:00-5:00 p.m.
MHS/WES will be hosting a sneak peek for any new families and for students who are feeling anxious about the school year. Representatives from the PTO will be available to help with guided tours. Administration and secretaries will also be available to assist with any questions about the upcoming school year.
Kindergarten News!
Mark your calendars! MHS will be hosting a kindergarten family walk thru on Friday, September 3rd from 8:00 - 10:00 a.m. Families may visit anytime during these two hours. Mrs. Taylor and Mrs. Ayles will be there to answer any questions you may have about kindergarten and this upcoming school year. We are also hoping to have a bus available for a quick ride around town.
Kindergarten Screenings will be held August 31st - September 2nd. An email will be sent to families later this week to sign-up for a screening appointment.

Headphones - Please know all types of headphones are acceptable. USB headphones are preferred only because they don't break as easily.
Thank you to our custodians!
Our custodians have been busy all summer doing a deep cleaning of all our buildings. The wet humid summer weather has slowed down the process of waxing the floors but has not slowed down their enthusiasm. They too are excited to start a new school year!
Class Lists are ready!
Teacher assignments will be emailed out today! Thank you for your patience as we worked to create equitable classes and finalize our new hires.
School Bus information
School bus routes are still being developed. Please continue to check our website for information. The routes will be posted on awrsd.org as soon as they are completed.
Extended Day
Registration information will be sent out to families soon. Please watch for an email from the superintendent's office. Unfortunately, our school offices do not have any updates to share at this time. We appreciate your patience as this program is being rebuilt.
