Description
Lemons are oval in shape and yellow in color. They have a texturized, outer peel and is encased in segments. They have little seeds and tend to be sour in flavor although some varieties are sweet.
NUTRITIONAL INFORMATION: Lemons are enriched with nutrients. One medium size lemon includes a fair amount of Vitamin C, dietary fiber, copper, and Vitamin B6.
COOKING METHODS: Lemons are used too add a tangy, refreshing flavor. The juice can be used or the fruit can be used. It is usually used as a substitute for vinegar or over meat to help make it tender.
