WWI Warfare
Modernization of Warfare
Germany U-Boat
The Germany U-Boat was a submarine used to sink boats that were carrying ammunition for the British.
Trench Warfare
Both sides dug themselves in ending any possible chance of a quick war; this caused a stale mate, which lasted for most of the war.
No Man's Land
No Man's Land contained miles of barbed wire, hundreds of corpses, and land mines. Sometimes as narrow as 15 yards or as wide as hundreds of yards.
Mustard Gas
Mustard gas causes the swelling and red spots on your skin causing very painful blisters. If you inhaled a direct attack it wouldn't take long to feel pain and swelling in your throat and eventually the closing of your airways.
Big Bertha
Big Bertha could fire at the rate of 8 rounds per hour with a muzzle velocity of 400 meters per seconds.
Doughboys
The most important thing the doughboys did was they stopped the Germans from advancing at Cantigny in France. They also played a major role in throwing back the German attacks at Chateau Thierry and Belleau Wood.
