What it Means to be College, Career, and Life Ready: Essential Employability Standards
The curriculum and assessments capture all NCC students.
NCC students learn their technical skills within their program and also learn related/integrated academics in English and Math that support their programs. Below is the framework of the Essential Employability curriculum that is taught and assessed at NCC.
Mr. Jeff Green
Mrs. Megan Drummond
A Message from your Administration
I'm Mr. Green, and I have been in Career and Technical Education (CTE) since 2008 as a teacher, support staff, assistant director, and now, director. I have been at NCC since 2015 and love it more and more each year. Mrs. Drummond, our new assistant director, has CTE experiences in both her professional and personal lives. She has already shown many students and staff her passion for CTE and for what NCC is all about.
The students and families we serve continue to let us know how valuable NCC is to them. Additionally, our business and community partners are continually telling us how important our graduates are for the Northland and region as a whole. That is why we continue to prepare students for the continually changing world by helping them become Enrolled, Enlisted, Employed, or a combination of the 3 E's. We pledge to provide relevant, workplace simulated, safe and caring environments for the students we serve. Thank you for entrusting us and our NCC team to educate and train your child/student. It is our honor to accept this responsibility.
One last request before we finish our opening thoughts to the school year. Please encourage your student to take advantage of the opportunities that we provide our students. Students can earn credentials, take part in an internship, earn college credit, do relevant/real world projects, compete in SkillsUSA or FFA, and uphold leadership positions in various capacities. Stretch them to take advantage of these opportunities. It can only propel their success as they transition into adulthood and the real world.
If you have any questions, concerns or comments, please don't hesitate to contact one of us! Call either Mr. Green or Mrs. Drummond at (816) 858-5505 or email us at:
