Using your counselor to raise GPA

Always available, always willing to help

What is a guidance counselor?

A school counselor is a counselor and an educator who works in elementary, middle, and high schools to provide academic, career, college readiness, and personal/social competencies to all K-12 students through a school counseling program.

How can they help you have a good GPA?

  1. Guidance counselors have the ability to look at your transcript and create a schedule that will help you to succeed in your classes.
  2. They help you to make a plan with your teachers to advocate for your struggles and make your classes more understandable and less stressful.
  3. They stick with you throughout your high school years to ensure that you are on track to graduate and have a GPA that colleges will accept.
