Dear Families,
It is amazing to think that we are at the end of the school year. On this last day of the school year, I want to thank all of you for the extraordinary ways in which you have supported your children and our school during this unusual school year. Thank you also for the support and patience you have shown me and our staff these past 10 months during this incredibly challenging especially as the new principal.
None of this has been easy for anyone, but given my own personal adjustments that I have had to make, they pale in comparison to some of the things that you have all been through. This has been so challenging given all the other demands on your time, including your own jobs, managing your household budgets and food, caring for sick family members, and trying to make sense of the new world we are living in. Even through all of the hardships in this crisis, as a school, we managed to have an incredible year. None of this would have been possible without the families supporting their children in their success. For that, we applaud you! You are the true MVPs through this time. Take a bow, families!
As a school, we will do everything we can to support children both emotionally and academically during the next school year, no matter what school looks like. I look forward to continuing to work with our staff and students in what will hopefully be a return to normalcy next year.
As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.

Kids and Teens in the Park
KIDS-in-the-PARK and TEENS-in-the-PARK will be back this summer with some exciting FREE VIRTUAL theater workshops for children and teenagers ages 8 to 15!
The format will be a little different this year, but will include:
• Three one-week sessions for KIDS-in-the-PARK
• Two one-week sessions for TEENS-in-the-PARK
KIDS-in-the-PARK will work on “Disney’s Frozen KIDS” and TEENS-in-the-PARK will work on “Disney’s High School Musical JR!” Please note that while children and teens are welcome to attend more than one weekly session, the same material will be covered each week.
As always, each daily session will include a group warm-up and then breakout sessions for music, choreography, and acting. Your children’s favorite directors — Misha Williams, Brian Williams, and Ada McCrady — are back and so excited to see them and get busy with some theater fun! Directors will run each session right from the stage at Warren Park, so it will be almost like being there!
Since we will not be gathering in person this year, there will be no final performance at the end of each week, but we look forward to bringing that fun back in 2022.
Summer 2021 Sessions
Each weekly session will be held Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings from 9-11:30 am.

B.R.I.G.H.T. - Building Relationships and Inspiring Growth and Hope Together
This program is a dynamic partnership between the Middlesex public school district and University Behavioral Healthcare (UBHC), a division of Rutgers University. The primary objective of the program is to help assure that children and adolescents will obtain needed assistance in an accessible location. They provide a range of free and confidential mental health services at the Middlesex Public Schools.
Referrals will be accepted from the student’s counselor, CST case manager, or school administrator. Teachers, school nurse and other staff members with concerns should contact the student’s counselor. Referrals may also be accepted directly from students and/or parents/guardians. The school counselor, CST member or administrator will meet with the student to discuss the referral and obtain informed parent/guardian consent concerning their interest in making a referral. They will also advise the school counselor that they are making the referral.
If you have any questions, please reach out to your child's counselor.
