Love, Grow, Teach, Eastside
Week of May 14-18
Eastside Mission
Eastside Vision
Working in partnership with the community, Eastside elementary will provide all students:
A collaborative team of professionals who are committed to improve their practices so that all students learn at high levels.
A safe, positive, and inviting learning environment.
An engaging and challenging curriculum focused on essential academics and life skills.
Individualized and timely support that provides students with what they need to succeed.
Last Full Week
As our year comes to a close remember to keep students engaged in the learning, but also provide some fun in different ways. The change in schedules and the excitement of fun activities can lead to behaviors that are not appropriate for school. Keeping students engaged is the key to a successful classroom during this time of the year. Check out the email about the Stuart Little PBL for our upcoming boat races. Thank you Mrs. Havens for securing community partners for this event!
Ms. Merritt and Ms. Nokes will be celebrated at the district-wide retirement reception on Tuesday starting at 3:30pm at the GMS/ Jr. High cafeteria. Come out and celebrate them and the others from the district!
Governor Asa Hutchinson will be at the Fine Arts Center on Thursday to present Greenbrier School District with ALL of their recognition checks! What an honor! We wanted some of our students and teachers to be able to represent Eastside, so 4th grade teachers and students will attend the presentation. 4th grade teachers, have your students ready to load the bus at 8:00 AM.
To Do List for the Week:
1. Monday meeting at 7:40 in the computer lab for all certified staff. Classified staff will watch students in the PE building until 8:00.
