Gibbs New & Important News
First Monthly Good Behavior Day
Friday, September 29th will be Septembers behavior reward celebration. This celebration will include all students who earned $16 or more for the month with zero suspensions. That means they did not have a think sheet more than one time per week (or no more than 4 times this month).
Each grade level will have one teacher to keep students who did not earn enough in the classroom, while the other teacher helps supervise. Grades K-1 will celebrate from 1:45-2:15pm and 3-5 from 2:15-2:45pm. The students will have a pop cycle dance party/extra recess on the black top. They can play once they finish.
Fells is helping with both groups so counseling will be canceled after 1:30pm.
Air Purifier Update
Monday all filters will be changed. Make sure that your purifier is in the hallway so the filter can be changed. The filters will be changed by 12noon Monday. You can return it to your classroom anytime after 12noon.. Store it away from the air conditioner vent/closet and make sure it is 8-10inches from the wall. Do not sit your drinks or any other items on the air purifier.
And lastly, only use the first 3 settings while inside your classroom. The last two settings are for cleaning. You can use those, over night or on the weekend.
House Points
Are you awarding students when exhibiting 7 Habits? If not, please start. This will encourage students and they will get caught doing some good things.
Class Meeting & Announcements
Remember to start your morning meetings by 7:45am each morning. The schedules are packed and the required times for instructions are required. Your interventionists is there to help with smooth transition to class, put things away and begin meeting. There is little to no time for morning work.
Also, the news that is sent out by Gibson or one of our 5th grade news team is a requirement. If you are out, your interventionists must play the news and lead your Leader in Me lesson.
