Do I Need to Test?
Not all colleges require the SAT or the ACT. Many are test-optional and some are even test-blind.
At its most basic definition, test optional means that you do not need to submit SAT or ACT scores to be considered for admission to a particular school. So while you may submit test scores if you want, you are not actually required to do so.
Test blind means that SAT/ACT test scores are not considered during the admission process, even if you include them in your application.
We encourage students and families to discuss the need for testing with their counselor or Lyndi Tucker in the College & Career Center.
SAT/ACT Registration Information
College Board has posted their test dates and deadlines: https://satsuite.collegeboard.org/sat/registration/dates-deadlines
ACT's test dates and deadlines can be found here: https://www.act.org/content/dam/act/unsecured/documents/pdfs/Test-Date-Schedule-National-2022-2023.pdf
