Selby Star
Weekly Update - January 15, 2021
Dear Selby Families,
Thank you to all of our families for connecting during our remote learning times. We know this is not easy, and we are so proud of each household's attempts to do their best to keep connections with staff and their child's learning.
Our educators are working hard to create and share engaging lessons and activities to keep learning going and keep kids connected. They are available for synchronous learning and feedback daily through their online platforms, and asynchronously via email. We are so proud of our Selby team and our students!
If your child will be absent from learning, please record this using our Safe Arrival program as per our usual routines. We will continue to check in on students that we have not heard from in an attempt to support families as we are able.
If you need a Chromebook to be able to access the learning, please call the school and we will arrange pick-up. We are still waiting on hot spots for those that have indicated they need internet. Thank you for your patience.
Next week we will try a whole-school assembly on Thursday morning - teachers will share the link in their classrooms. Fingers crossed we can do this so we can see everyone and have some fun together! Please make sure your child is on MUTE! Thank you!
Stay safe everyone!
