This program is ideal for students wanting to learn more about a career in education and training and interested in the College of Education at the University of South Carolina.

Ranked by Forbes as the No. 1 Top Two-Year Trade School in 2018, Pittsburg Institute of Aeronautics has produced top-notch aircraft mechanics and avionics technicians to enter the workforce in aviation maintenance, electronics, and other related fields since 1929. PIA graduates are in demand throughout the United States and receive employment assistance in their pursuit of employment in the field of aviation and related industries. Students will learn about PIA's specialized Aviation Maintenance Technology (AMT) and Aviation Electronics Technology (AET) programs which provide hands-on skill sets based on aviation industry practices and are transferable to a diverse set of related occupations.

Careers at SC Department of Transportation

This virtual program is geared towards students, parents, and educators who want to learn about careers with SC Department of Transportation. Some of these career fields include civil engineering, structural engineering, surveyors, construction inspectors, and utility engineers. Participants will learn about current and future workforce trends, industry growth, required education and skills sets, employer expectations, work-based learning opportunities and more.
Paid Internship Opportunity
Responsibilities: Answering the phone, customer service and computer work.
$9/hour 15-20 hours per week M-F
Hours flexible for school. Company hours 8 am-4:45 pm

MICHELIN SCHOLARS PROGRAM FOR ELECTRONIC ENGINEERING TECH
Wednesday, December 1, 2021, 9:30 am, 1:00 pm - Michelin Scholars Info Session at Lexington Technology Center - 2421 Augusta Highway Lexington, SC 29072 For all students and guardians interested in knowing more about the Michelin Scholars program. OFFERS FREE TUITION AND BOOKS AS WELL AS 20-HOURS REQUIRED PART TIME WORK PER WEEK.

Good candidates for this program are students with strong math, science, and reading comprehension skills who are enrolled in Industrial Mechanical Maintenance or Mechatronics Technology at Midlands Technical College.
To be eligible for consideration for the Michelin Scholars Program, seniors must pass an aptitude test administered by Michelin officials (January 21, 2021) and interview with plant representatives.

Friday, January 21, 2022, 9:30 am or 1:00 pm - Michelin Scholars Testing - seniors only - Lexington Technology Center - Multi-Purpose Room Sign up here to test Seniors have the opportunity to take the Michelin aptitude test (PTI & Bennett) if they are interested in applying for the Michelin Technical Scholars program. Students must pass both tests offered by Michelin in the same test session in order to become an applicant for the Michelin Scholars Program. Anyone interested is allowed to take the test only 3 times in a lifetime. Students must register and have their permission form submitted to participate.
