The International Baccalaureate is a non-profit foundation offering four high-quality and challenging educational programs for students aged 3 to 19 throughout the world. Founded in 1968, the IB has grown and is now established in over 3,900 schools in 147 countries worldwide.


Walnut High School has been an IB World School since 2000. Since then close to 800 WHS students have graduated with their IB Diploma and gone on to attend many of the top universities worldwide. Some of these universities include Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Cornell, Stanford, Wellesley, Boston College, Columbia, Amherst, Dartmouth, Notre Dame, Brandeis, John Hopkins, NYU, Cal Tech, MIT, Northwestern, Wesleyan, University of Southern California, UCLA, UC Berkley, UC San Diego and many other University of California Schools.
