Winter Craft Day - Volunteers needed!
Winter Craft Day 2022 is less than a month away and we need you to make this annual event a day for all Cornwall students to treasure! For the first time since pre-pandemic times, we are returning to an in-school, hands-on format with parent-designed-and-led crafts!
On Wednesday, December 14th we will transform the multi-purpose room into a creative workshop filled with fun projects for students to make and enjoy, or spread the joy even further by gifting the crafts to others.
We need you!
On your own or with a buddy, come up with a craft for children to make. It is important to choose a craft that is accessible to kindergartners through fifth graders, and not explicitly holiday themed. Some examples we have done in the past include wood crafts, hot cocoa packets, bath salts, water globes, note cards, magnets, pet treat bags with treats, and so much more! Keep in mind that students will have approximately 40 minutes to make several crafts so the project should be one that takes no longer than 5-10 minutes. The first 12 volunteers to reach out to me with a craft plan get themselves a coveted table at the 2022 Winter Craft Fair!
There is also the option to bag the crafts to pass along to others. The bag-decorating station will also be staffed by volunteers!
If you are interested in helping out we would love to have you join us!
Although this is an all day event, we understand that not everyone can take the whole day to be with us. We would be happy to have any help you can offer! If you aren't available to come on that day perhaps you could donate white tissue paper, winter stickers or stamps, a healthy snack for the volunteers or some high powered coffee...
We can pair you with another parent if you'd like, offer suggestions on possible craft ideas, and reimburse you for materials (please keep this to a maximum of $30).
This is a wonderful event that is as much fun for the volunteers as it is for the kids!
Please let me know if you'd like to be included and what I can do to get you started.
I look forward to hearing from you!

South Bus Changes
Welcome to Elias who will be our new driver for the South bus! He has been driving with Andrew this week, and beginning next week, he will take over the route. As he is learning the pick up and drop off points, there may be a bit of variation in times. Please plan for a larger "window" until he settles in to the route. Thank you!
Vaccine Clinic for Students
FLU and COVID Vaccine Clinic for Students
Our vaccine clinic for students will take place on Thursday December 8th. If you would like your student to receive the FLU and/or COVID vaccine at school, please complete this form if you have not already done so.
Please send your student’s COVID immunization card with them that day if they are receiving that vaccine. We are thankful to Addison County Home Health for partnering with us to provide this service to our students. Reach out to Nurse Stephanie if you have any questions: srotax@acsdvt.org
Strategic Plan
Our Next Strategic Plan:
Beginning this winter, we will create a new Strategic Plan for Equity to prioritize the success of every student. Strategic plans help set priorities and direction for our school district's future. Please read more about this in the email the district sent this week.
