CAIU Summer Series

You are invited to join us for half-day professional development opportunities to explore a variety of digital tools that can be used by teachers and students. Whether you are teaching in the classroom or in a remote learning environment, finding ways to be more efficient, engage learners, collaborate effectively, and encourage creativity is key! These sessions will be held online through Zoom, so you can join in from anywhere!

  • Sessions are limited to 30 participants.
  • All sessions will be conducted using Zoom. Please be sure you have the latest version of Zoom downloaded on your device before joining a session. Registrants will receive a link to join via email prior to each session.
  • Office hours will be offered! All participants will have the opportunity to apply what they learned during each session.
  • 3.5 hours of Act 48 will be awarded for each half-day session.

GSuite for Education Series

Join us to explore and learn more about GSuite for Education. There are so many ways to use Google Apps to enhance learning, increase student engagement and improve teacher efficiency. Each session in this series will focus on one Google App. We will dive into how to navigate, create and share within each app. You will leave with an understanding of the functionality and features of the app and ways to use it creatively with you students, whether they are in the classroom or a remote learning environment!

Build Your Digital Toolbox Series

Whether you are teaching in the classroom or in a remote learning environment, there are many digital tools that call help you be a more efficient and effective teacher. Join us as we explore a variety of digital tools that can be used by teachers and students. Find ways to engage learners, communicate and collaborate effectively, and encourage creativity!

Google Classroom Series

Connecting in Virtual Classrooms: Strategies to Engage and Motivate Students

Virtual classrooms are a way to connect with your students, but how do you keep them engaged? We'll explore some engagement strategies that will not only help you connect with your students, but also formatively assess their progress towards their learning goals. Whether using Zoom or Google Meet, you will leave this session with a bank of tools and strategies to use in your own virtual classrooms.
