A story about kindness and inclusion

This month I enjoyed reading about Scribble, the book's main character, to our students.

Scribble never thought he was different until he met his first drawing. Then, after being left out because he didn't look like everyone else; Scribble teaches the drawings how to accept each other for who they are. Working together enables them to create amazing art.

Elephant Toothpaste

Mrs. Costello & Ms. Shupp's classes teamed up to talk about chemical reactions. They made elephant toothpaste Halloween edition! Two pumpkins were used so students could talk about how the reactions may have changed when the experiment was altered. The pumpkins were used the day after to review adjectives by having the students touch the inside and outside of a pumpkin and describe them using adjectives.
