Principal's Message
Dear Terra Linda Families,
We had a successful Service Day on Sunday, May 20! Thank you to the many Sunset High School students, Terra Linda staff, parents, and students, and even a few community members who helped. We cleaned up our grounds, installed a stepping stone path near our Terra Linda sign, planted flowers, painted the bicycle racks and the fire gate, removed the garden beds, and touched up the paint on our playground doors and poles - all before noon! We hope to make this an annual event, so be sure to watch for the next opportunity and consider joining us.
Thank you for supporting the Beaverton Schools Local Option Levy Renewal. The ballot measure passed overwhelmingly by a 71.77% to 28.23% margin and will allow Beaverton schools to preserve 300 teaching positions, maintain class sizes, and help ensure students are prepared for post-high school success. Thank you, for your efforts, contributions, and passion for our children and their education.
You also made us feel very special during Staff Appreciation Week with your “Thanks from Around the World.” The French pastries and coffee bar, beautiful floral bouquets, pizza lunch, English tea, Nacho bar, raffle contributions, and notes brightened our days and made us feel so appreciated. Thank you for your kindness and generosity! You make a difference at Terra Linda every day and we appreciate you!
Kind Regards,
Christy

Items not picked up will eventually be donated to the Beaverton School District Clothes Closet.
Field Day Schedule
Field Day will be held on Friday, June 15. Third, fourth, and fifth grade classes will participate from 9:15 to 10:45. Kindergarten, first, and second grade classes will participate from 1:15 to 2:45. We still need volunteers! Please consider signing up. Visitors are also welcome but need to check in at the office first.
Safe Routes to School
Beaverton School District received a Safe Routes to School grant. The purpose of the program is to make walking and rolling (biking, scooting, bus) to school safe, convenient and fun.
One of the requirements of the grant is to get some information about how our students are now traveling to school. Parent Surveys are generated from the National Safe Routes to School Center and asks questions regarding your student’s trip to and from school. Please complete this survey by May 31.
Beaverton School District Preschool at Bonny Slope
Children who turn 4 years old by September 1 and who live in the Terra Linda and Bonny Slope attendance areas are eligible to attend the Beaverton School District Preschool at Bonny Slope. Please tell your neighbors if they have preschool students in their household. Please view the attached flyer and eligibility requirements for details. If interested, please return the completed application form to the Bonny Slope office by 6/22/18. Families will be notified of selection by 7/20/18.
