Season of Service is JUST around the corner! Help us kick off this exciting initiative with 3 events happening THIS WEEKEND!
1. Serve with us Show the servant heart of God by joining with 500 other volunteers in service to the city! We will be helping beautify some parks on Saturday morning. To sign up and get more information, please click here
2. Celebrate with us We will kick-off the Season of Service as we celebrate the legacy of MLK at the MLK Celebration Service is on January 19th, at 5:30 PM at Capital Christian Center
3. Walk with us Join us and tens of thousands of other participants for the 33rd annual "March for the Dream" a march that ends at the State Capital. Find out more information here

Twin Lakes Elementary School in Orangevale got a makeover from Lakeside Church in 2012’s Season of Service. Watch the video below to see some testimonies from the volunteers who served and the reaction from the principal. Churches partnering with schools is such a great way to share God’s love with the community!
Upcoming Event: E49/Serve Sacrmento Mixer
E49 and Serve Sacramento are combining energy and focus in order to produce a monthly mixer around the themes of community health and transformation we are working toward in our communities. We invite you to come, eat, network and connect, as well as hear from a panel of champions on the subject of the night. This month's focus will be Immigration and Refugees.

Servant Spotlight
Kirt Lewis is the Regional Church Mobilizer for the Sacramento and Modesto offices of World Relief and Senior Specialist for US Church Mobilization. His work at World Relief includes assisting churches to answer the call of ministry among the most vulnerable in our region and across the globe, particularly immigrants, via education/training and establishing collaborative partnerships. Kirt loves to see the church unite as it reaches out to our region's newest neighbors--immigrants to include refugees who have been through a traumatic journey.
Kirt also serves as the Discipleship Pastor for The Pointe Church in Antelope, California. He has his Masters in Theology and Practical Ministry from Western Seminary and lives in Antelope with his wife, Kristy, and their daughter Melody. We are so thankful to ahve such a passionate and compassionate advocate for immigrants and refugees in our region!
