Fun with Mrs. Becerra’s Mother & Friends!
Who better to help Mrs. Becerra’s class make Mother’s Day cards than Mrs. Becerra’s very own mother? Mrs. Becerra’s mother, Deanie Stevens, and her mother’s friends, Merle Lonstein and Pat Schneider, brought in a basket of materials to the class and then helped students create charming Mother’s Day cards. It looked like the ladies were having as much fun as the students!
5th graders learn about body systems
After studying about chemical reactions, Ms. Patterson's grade 5 students have been learning how chemical reactions happen in living things. Students have been looking inside themselves- at the circulatory, respiratory, and digestive systems and how those systems all work together.
They later compared their body systems to that of plants. Each student had to trace their body shapes, cut them out, and cut and color individual organs in order to place them into position for each of the systems.
Talent Show Pictures
The rest of Dana Dirk's pictures of our Talent Show have been added to the slide show. Check out the Act 2 performances!

Who won the Egg drop challenge?
CLICK TO DISCOVER WHO ENGINEER OF THE MONTH IS!
The Finals of the April Egg Drop Challenge took place Thursday, May 11th, at high NOON! It was an exciting and fun time with Lucia, Ria, Juliana and Octavia. These ladies had built contraptions for the challenge which could hold eggs that from heights of 11 feet would not break! We met this Thursday to try to declare one final winner. We decided, as a group, that each girl would piece by piece take her contraption apart to see if we could finally have some eggs break! We learned some amazing things. Bubble wrap is truly very protective, as is string!
