Happy Thursday, our Friday!
Dear School Families,
Archery: This year’s archery season is quickly coming to an end with twenty-one archers representing St. Stanislaus headed to Branson this Friday to compete in the 2021 MONSASP 3D State Tournament. The 3D shooting range consists of a turkey, coyote, bear, antelope, deer, and sheep targets placed at varying distances. A total of 93 elementary, middle, and high school teams are registered for the competition. Please wish your archery team the best of luck and pray for a safe trip! GO RAIDERS!!! This was written by Eric Jaegers, the head coach for the archery team. Thank you to Mr. Jaegers and the following coaches for their dedication to the program: Pat Hood, Gabe Markway, Brad Suthoff, Jeff Berendzen.
Carline: The new “3rd lane” has been working so well! Thank you to everyone for adjusting to the new system. We will continue to drive through the cones (the 3rd lane) to turn right into the lane. Please avoid turning right off the highway.
Athletic Committee: The Athletic Committee is looking for several new members for the 2021-2022 sports season. Please email athleticdirector@ststan.net if you have any questions or are interested!
St. Stanislaus hosted an indoor book walk, thanks to Mrs. Andrews and Mrs. Steinlage. Students dressed as their favorite book characters. The book walk allowed students to enjoy a stroll as they read the story, “The Story of the Three Trees” by Ariana Delgada. (pic below)
I am amazed at the dedication students have used in giving honor to their Lenten promises. I talked with students that have given up sweets, ketchup, and reading for pleasure. I have also talked with students that have added good deeds. The cross was made by Mrs. Bolzenius and Mrs. Rudolph for classes to write ways they can “Be a Light for Lent”! (pic below)
Blessings,
Mrs. Angie Shelangoski

Nurses Corner
At this time, it has been decided that we will no longer check temperatures upon arrival in the morning for both staff and students. We have found that due to temperatures outside, the accuracy is not super reliable when checking them instantly upon arrival. If we waited to check after staff and students have been in the building for a period of time, this would defeat the purpose of keeping sick children and staff out of school. The CDC also recommends not to symptom screen every student on a daily basis. The CDC states parents should continue to screen their children for signs/symptoms of illness at home and keep their children home in the event that they would have any signs of an infectious disease.
