Thursday, Feb. 27: 7:00-8:30 PM: Performance by the Old Boys Blues Band directed by Alex Becker in the Rossy Agora with a special guest performance by James McMillan (Director of advancement, former SHS music teacher and band director). If the parent-student-teacher interviews give you the blues, come and unwind as the band play a high energy set of classic jazz and blues tunes.
Thursday, February 27: Grades 7 to 11 Parent/Student/Teacher Interviews 1:30 - 8:00 pm Please note there is no parking in front of the school or on Argyle prior to 2:30 pm on Thurs. Feb 27 as we need that area for pick up for the Elementary School students.
Friday, February 28: Parent/Student/Teacher Interviews, 8:00 AM-12:00 PM
No classes for students Thursday afternoon and Friday morning. Students attend interviews with their parents.
Lost & Found: Items will be displayed on tables in the hallway to the right of Coristine Hall on Thursday, February 27 and Friday, February 28. If your son has lost an item or items, please have a look.
The Re-Enrollment Form is due tomorrow, Friday, February 28. To secure your son’s enrollment for the 2020-2021 academic year please check off the appropriate box on the re-enrollment form and return this form to Ms. D. Dragone in the Business Office.

Need to Know
A Selwyn House Legend Announces Her Retirement: This past Tuesday and Wednesday, as many of you may have heard, it was announced to the Middle and Senior School boys, respectively, that our beloved Ms. Carol Manning has made the decision to retire at the end of the current school year. Read more
Grade 9 student Vito Guzzo is currently the number-one sabre fencer in Canada. He is also ranked first in Quebec, making him both the national and provincial champion in sabre fencing.
Vito also recently made Team Canada for the Youth Division, and is going off to the North American Cup in Detroit, Michigan March 20-23 to represent Canada in the U-15 men’s sabre competition in both the individual competition and the national team competition, where he will be teamed up with the second-, third- and fourth-placed national sabre fencers from across the country. McGill Winter Bonanza Debate Tournament: Matthew Homa and Sasha Klein Charland (Gr. 10), George Adamopoulos and Denis Dariotis (Gr. 10), James Sabbagh and Oliver Lin (Gr. 9), and Charles Seitz and Yusuf Afif (Gr. 8). Dylan Lee (Gr. 10) also competed. Charles and Yusuf tied for fifth place and George and Denis for fifth place, while Matthew and Sasha finished in fourth place and qualified for the final round, where they ended up losing a close split decision. Charles Seitz and Yusuf Afif came in second and third, respectively, in the individual speaker category.

Leadership Opportunities
Now is the time to consider applying to three upcoming conferences in 2020: the Global Student Leadership Summit, the CAIS Student Leadership Conference, and the Canadian Student Leadership Conference. These conferences are open to current senior school students (Grades 9-11), though you must check to see which conference(s) pertain to your grade level. 2020-21 Prefect and House Head Applications: Applications have been emailed to the current Grade 9 and 10 students for those interested in becoming House Heads or Prefects next year. The deadline to submit completed applications to Mrs. Powers is March 17 at 3:00 p.m. Good luck to all the applicants!
