Federal Impact Survey Cards: “Just Do It!”
Parents, please take a few moments to fill out the Federal Impact Survey Card that was mailed to you and turn it in to the supervising teacher by this Thursday, October 13.
That way you won’t have to think about it again
...or misplace the card
......or try to remember to bring it back to school
.........or ask Johnny why he didn’t give the card to his sup. teacher
............or get phone calls from us, or…(you get it!)
Anyway, please spend a few minutes today to save many precious minutes later on. Thank you.
As a special incentive to help meet this important deadline, the students of the first supervising teacher that gets 100% of their cards turned in will get a PIZZA PARTY!
Vote for your SSC/SGT parent representative!

CYT presents: "James and the Giant Peach"
Friday, November 4 through Saturday, November 12
Pacific Beach Middle School
Based on one of Roald Dahl's most poignantly quirky stories, Roald Dahl's James and the Giant Peach JR. is a brand new take on the "masterpeach" of a tale. Featuring a wickedly tuneful score and a witty and charming book, this adventurous musical about courage and self-discovery is destined to be a classic. There is a high demand for this show as it is a brand new CYT production and teachers are excited about the author Roald Dahl.
Two of our younger Mt. Everest Academy students will be performing in the show: Neeku Nemati, grade 3, and Neelu Nemati, grade 5.
October 9-15 is Fire Prevention Week
"Don't Wait, Check the Date"
The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) today announced “Don’t Wait: Check the Date! Replace Smoke Alarms Every 10 Years” as the official theme for this year’s Fire Prevention Week campaign, October 9-15, 2016. The focus on smoke alarm replacement comes as the result of a recent survey conducted by NFPA, which showed that only a small percentage of people know how old their smoke alarms are or how often they need to be replaced.
