In an effort to help with technical issues that you may have at home while learning online, WLCSD has developed a STUDENT TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT REQUEST FORM. To help with technical issues, this should be the first step in letting us know the issue you are experiencing with technology at home. We can then help you as quickly as we can.
This form is always located on our Dublin web page under the FOR PARENTS tab.
There is a button below too!
Daily Learning Schedule
This week, “OUR PATH” students will be starting their live classes with our FAPEs (Fine Arts and Physical Educaiton - Art, Music, PE, and Media) teachers.
We know how much our students love our FAPEs teachers, so we are really looking forward to starting the live classes.
Teachers will be posting links to these classes in their Google Classrooms tomorrow. The links to these special classes are also linked in the buttons below for you. We want navigation to our FAPES classes to be as simple for parents and students as possible.
Teachers will be sharing a more permanent schedule with you sometime this week. Thank you!
Our Path Attendance Information
Despite the fact that we are starting the 2020 - 2021 school year remotely, attendance must continue to be a priority. It is extremely important for students to log in on time, be present in the remote setting, and remain engaged throughout the entirety of the school day.
Please be reminded that our teachers will take AM and PM attendance as well as record tardies. If your child will be absent or late, or will need to end the remote day early due to illness or a scheduled appointment, you must call the attendance phone line and leave us a message to tell us.
Every teaching and learning moment is crucial and we appreciate your partnership to ensure good attendance and participation.
We recognize that there will be a learning curve during these first few weeks and we promise to be flexible and understanding as we all become comfortable with the digital platforms of Google and Zoom.

Important ZOOM Reminders for Parents
Zoom is not only a window into our classroom, it’s also a window into your home. Being mindful of what’s happening in and around the webcam is extremely important as we all strive for a safe, healthy, and rewarding online learning experience for our children.
Please be sure "adult" conversations and language cannot be heard by other classmates.
Many lessons were learned throughout the first week of school regarding what works best in our Zoom online platform.
Teachers are working tirelessly to provide appropriate, engaging, and meaningful lessons. Please be mindful of the following tips when attending a Zoom lesson.
Reminders for Parents:
At no time should you take a screen shot of the video conference screen where other children are visible, and no images/videos should be posted on social media platforms.
Students are expected to maintain the same behavior and conduct during a video conference call as they would in the classroom. This is an extension of the regular classroom and school rules still apply.
It’s helpful if you keep the source of lighting in front or above the webcam. Avoid having a bright light or window behind you.
Progress slowly. Everyone is learning (including the adults) and it will take some time for everyone to adjust.
Be patient and forgiving with technology. It can be temperamental, "glitchy" and sometimes difficult to navigate so pause, breathe and keep this in perspective.
Remind all those living at the residence that the webcam will display those walking in the background and only school suitable activity and language should be used when the Zoom lesson is in session.
Curriculum Nights
Our Curriculum Nights will be ONLINE this year, and will take place on two separate nights for K-5 classes, an evening for ECSE families, and and extra evening for our Art, Music, PE, and Media teachers to discuss the curriculum at each grade level and department.
Curriculum Night is designed for parents only.
Parents may join at 6:30 PM to learn about the curriculum, program, meet classroom teachers and other staff members, and view materials for each grade level. Our ECSE Curriculum Night will begin at 6:00 PM. More details to come for our FAPES Curriculum Night!

Voluntary Student Accident Insurance
WALLED LAKE CONSOLIDATED SCHOOLS DOES NOT CARRY HEALTH OR ACCIDENT INSURANCE FOR STUDENTS. If your child is injured while at school, medical costs are the responsibility of the parents and/or guardians.
As a service to students and their families, our District is making available a student accident insurance plan for your child at a very nominal cost. The District offers this program because of trends in rising family health and dental insurance costs, increased deductibles, co-payments or lack of health or dental insurance coverage.
REASONS TO PURCHASE THIS COVERAGE:
- Deductible and co-pays in your health plan. Many health plans have increased the amount of out-of-pocket expenses.
- No insurance.
This plan will provide benefits for medical expenses incurred because of an accident. If you have other insurance, benefits can be applied to your deductible or co-pay. If you have no other insurance, this will become your primary accident plan.
TO PURCHASE COVERAGE ONLINE (by Credit/Debit Card) go to:
www.1stAgency.com/voluntaryaccidentcoverage.htm -- Follow directions by choosing STATE and SCHOOL DISTRICT. Visa or MasterCard is accepted.
OR
TO PAY WITH CHECK OR MONEY ORDER, PRINT BROCHURE PDF from First Agency’s website at www.1stAgency.com/voluntaryaccidentcoverage.htm -- Follow directions by choosing STATE and SCHOOL DISTRICT.
All questions regarding this coverage should be directed to First Agency, Inc., at (269) 381-6630 or toll free at (800) 243-6298.
We are pleased to make this student accident insurance plan available.
