Principal Interview
What the KIDS want to know!
Getting to know you...
What is your favorite thing about Crossroads?
Mrs. Sutton: Everyone here is so friendly and positive. I love coming in every day to smiling faces from the staff and students. I always have a blast at school.
What are you scared of?
Mrs.Sutton: I’ve always been afraid of birds. I know that sounds silly, but I am scared they will fly into me!
Mr. Fay: Snakes! I can be walking along and know there is not a chance at all there will be a snake, but I still look to see if one is there.
What was your best subject in school? What was your worst subject?
Mrs. Sutton: I absolutely loved writing in school. I liked being able to make people laugh with my silly stories about family and friends. My worst subject was Math. I still get nervous about it, but the teachers here at Crossroads have helped me become more confident!
Mr. Fay: I was very good at math all through school. Math is one of those things I do without much thought. I have to say my worst subject was social studies. I guess I just didn’t like reading from text books.
If you could do any other job in the world other than principal, what would you pick?
Mrs. Sutton: I would love to be a designer or decorator. I like to organize and make spaces “pretty."
What was your first job?
Mrs. Sutton: I worked as a waitress at a local restaurant in my hometown. I loved the fast pace of the job and meeting new people every day.
What is your favorite thing to do outside of school?
Mrs. Sutton: I love to go out to eat with my family, especially for mexican and pizza. I enjoy cooking and playing board games & cards too.
Do you have any pets?
Mrs. Sutton: I have a two year old Husky Lab Mix named Josie. She likes to sleep, play fetch for about five throws and chew up things she isn’t supposed to.
