Hello Pella Dutch Families,
GO DUTCH!!!
WORK-BASED LEARNING INFORMATION EVENT
Fall Semester Finals Schedule
Students also earned the privilege of opting out of one final. This privilege was earned through their performance on the ISASP that was given in the spring of last school year. Our students outperformed state averages in every category in outstanding fashion. This process is currently being developed with more details to come.

What have we spent on school fees and school lunch?
Through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal (ICPP) and the Campus Parent App, parents are able to see a journal on all fees paid to the Pella Schools for school fees and food service fees. See the steps below on how to see that fee journal:
Fees Journal: under Fees > Under Person Select “All” or a specific person > Select this school year > Select Type as “Paid” (This will show you fees paid on/after July 1, 2021.)
Food Service Journal: under Food Service > Select a patron > Select your date range to preview. You will be able to see the money paid in/out and what that student ate each day.
Leader in Me: Habits to Home
PHS started off the school year with a few changes to our system. One of those changes included introducing the Leader in Me 7 Habits to students. We have used our Wednesday iLead time to deliver this content. In August and September, we focused on Habit 1: Be Proactive. In October, we focused on Habit 2: Begin with the End in Mind. And now in November our focus is on Habit 3: Put First Things First.
Here is a quick summary of each habit so far:
Being Proactive: I take responsibility for my life - my actions, my words, my reactions.
Begin with the End in Mind: I define my mission and goals for life.
Put First Things First: I prioritize the most important things for my life.
Continue the conversation with your students! Ask them what it looks like when we choose to be proactive rather than reactive. Talk with your students about what your mission and goals for your life are. Then decide as a family what the most important things are for your lives. In school, we called these our BIG ROCKS! What are the big rocks that need to be placed in our schedules first? Try this with your family: Ask each child to identify their Big Rocks. This might include things like sport practices, music lessons, attending a friend’s birthday party, or doing homework. Go outside and find some big rocks. Using markers, write their “Big Rocks” on the rocks and then place them in a prominent place in your home. As you pass by these rocks, let them be a reminder of your family’s priorities and ask each other how it’s going!
