Longridge Community Update
The Best Part of LR is the People!
Opening Message
Thank you to all of our families that have completed the the Fall Family Survey thus far. We have received such great input on next steps for our school (more on that below). There is still time to let your voices be heard. We will be using your input to help plan various family and community engagement events beginning in January!
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us in the main office at 966-5851.

Mark Your Calendars!
November 24-26th: Thanksgiving Break-No School for Students
December 10: Marking Period Ends
December 17: Report Cards available to parents and guardians (Electronic)
December 24: December Break Begins
We Heard You!
Parents and guardians let us know that they are interested in learning different ways that they can help their child at home with math and to learn more about bullying. We are working with Daryl McCullough (Community Schools Coordinator) to schedule evening events for families beginning in January. We will be communicating out details as we get closer to the new year.
Also, beginning in December, you will be receiving math resources like what is found below. We will be sending home parent guides that focus on the most important path standards as they are being taught. This will help you to be able to review and support your child at home.
Report Cards are Going Electronic!
The end of the first marking period is December 10th, and report cards will be released to families on December 17th. In the spring, we informed parents and guardians that beginning this year, all report cards would be electronic. This means that families will be able to access report cards through the parent portal.
In order for a guardian to access their child's report card, they must complete the form below:
This form will need to be submitted to the main office. You can do this electronically by emailing our main office staff, or you can come in and turn in your form in person. If emailing, please send the email to:
Once you have submitted your form, you will be provided with a pin that will allow you to access the parent portal.
A video with step by step directions can be found at the following link:
We understand that this may be a new process for some of you and we wanted to provide everyone with enough time to be able to sign-up. If you would like to continue to receive a paper copy of a report card, please reach out to your child's teacher for this request.
Please reach out to use at the main office at 966-5851 if you have any questions.

After School Support for Quarantined Students
We understand that due to quarantine, students will be out for a longer period of time than just a couple of days. As a result, we will be providing after school support from classroom teachers several days a week.
On Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, several classroom teachers will be available to meet with students that are quarantined from 3:45-4:45 p.m. A Google Link will be sent to your child that will connect them virtually to a teacher where academic support will be provided.
We are finalizing what this support will look like for students. Please be on the look out for this in a future Community Update.
