Thanksgiving Feast--We have 90 responses so far and need one from each student!
There will be an alternate menu choice of a chicken patty or children may bring a lunch from home.
Please complete this form to indicate your child’s preference for lunch at our feast. As a reminder, to ensure we have enough food for all, each student needs his or her own lunch form so please fill this form out for every child in your home.
The price of lunch can be applied to your child’s account or you can send in money. It will cost the same price as a daily lunch.
If you plan to attend and would like a meal as well, please fill out a form for you. The cost can be applied to your child's account or you can send in money.
Kindergarten, first and second grade students eat at 11:45.

So Many Activities so Little Time
From the article: Students who are involved in extracurricular activities—from chess club to cheerleading to chorus—tend to have higher self-esteem and stronger connections to school. But an overloaded schedule with too many activities can have the opposite effect, leaving your child—and you!—stressed. Keep these tips in mind for managing your child’s activity load.

If anyone would like to pay by check they should be made payable to RC LaPerche PTA. Winners for the prizes will be drawn at the November 30 Town Meeting.
If you are unable to sell the tickets that were sent home, please send them back in the envelope.
If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact Amy Antunes at amy.antunes@gmail.com
Smithfield Elementary Schools are in the middle of implementing Responsive Classroom (RC). One part of RC, is CARES (Cooperation, Assertion, Responsibility, Empathy, Self-Control). Throughout the course of the year students will be introduced to and explicitly taught what each looks like and sounds like. LaPerche students add their thoughts about what cooperation looks like and sounds like at LaPerche. Mrs. Dorsey uses an interactive board to gather students' ideas to determine the baseline of understanding.
