Inside both libraries, you will find a craft table in the Children’s section. Crafts will be swapped out, so be sure to stop by often!
Goat Story Time

Join us for a fun story time with goats! We will read goat stories, enjoy some goat flannel activities, and meet goat Itsy!
Stain Glass Art

Join us to make glow in the dark stained glass artwork! We will use food coloring, glue, and more.
Science with Miss Jen: Parachutes

Explore the topic of gravity with some fun experiments. Afterward, you will be able to design your own mini-parachute. Will your design slow the force of gravity?

Cookbook Club

Our September meeting will feature two books by Jeanine Donofrio: The Love & Lemons Cookbook: An Apple-to-Zucchini Celebration of Impromptu Cooking OR Love & Lemons Every Day: More than 100 Bright, Plant-Forward Recipes for Every Meal.
This is how the club works: every month, pick up a copy of that month's cookbook selection at the Harmony Library. Choose a recipe to make and prepare it for the next month's meeting. We will sample each other's dishes and discuss our cooking experiences. If you would like to join the Cookbook Club, register and then drop by the library to pick up a copy of the book.
Fearless Art

The first meeting of the year will include a discussion of the art projects that we will explore in the coming months. We will also share any art works we have completed or are works in progress.
Writers' Support Group

Each Tuesday, the library will offer a new release on the big screen along with light refreshments. Bring a friend!
Seashell Patterned Tote Bags for Adults
Tuesday, September 20, 6 p.m. and Wednesday, September 21, 10:30 a.m., Harmony Library
Participants will learn how to use painted seashells to imprint designs on a cotton tote bag. All materials will be provided. Participants should register for one class only. Note: Registration for this program will open on Tuesday, September 6, at 6 p.m.
Fall Perennial Plant Sale PLUS Tips on Closing Your Garden

Job Armstrong Shopkeeper's Garden (behind the Glocester Heritage Society building, 1181 Main Street, Chepachet)
Join Master Gardener Susan Lepore to learn the steps to close your garden. Susan has been a gardener for 40 years and will share her best practices for assuring you have a successful next gardening season. While there, find some inexpensive, well cared for plants at the Shopkeeper's Garden Master Gardeners' perennial plant sale! Each plant will be labeled clearly with instructions on where best to plant it. It's a cash only sale - no credit cards will be accepted. Note: No registration is required.

Set your calendars for the Glocester Scarecrow Festival!
Glocester Scarecrow Festival - Registration is now open!
Saturday, October 15, 9 a.m., Main Street, Chepachet
This festival will run throughout the day and scarecrows will remain on display for two weeks.
The scarecrows will be returning to Main Street, Chepachet on October 15, the opening day of the festival. View all the creative scarecrows, listen to music, enjoy the food, paint a pumpkin, and visit the petting zoo and pony rides. There is plenty of time to design, create, and register your scarecrow for this fun event. Visit www.glocesterscarecrowfestival.org to register. This event is sponsored by the Chepachet Grange, the Glocester Libraries, the Rhode Island State Council for the Arts, the Glocester Business Association, and private donations from friends and businesses.
