SCHOOL CLOSURE NEEDS ASSESSMENT
This week Tuesday & Wednesday, your child's teacher will be contacting you (via phone) to conduct a survey (needs assessment) to help us prepare for the possibility of homebound instruction should the school closure last beyond March 27th.
If you have multiple students enrolled at Eagle Academy you can expect only one phone call. However, if you have students enrolled at multiple schools, please be aware that you will be receiving calls from teachers at each school.
We thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation while we work through planning for continued instruction.
Sincerely,
Deanne Carroll - Principal
PERSONAL ITEMS PICK UP
Beginning this Wednesday parents will be allowed to pick up any personal items. These include snow gear, glasses, earbuds/headphones, and other non-instructional items. We are recommending that if you do not need any of your students' personal items, that you consider leaving them here.
To be mindful of CDC recommendations for social distancing we are asking that you schedule a time to come and pick up your items to avoid potential group gatherings. You will need to contact the front office (742-3025) to schedule an appointment and let Tamara know what items you are wanting to pick up. We will make every effort to gather those items and have them ready for you to pick up at the front door.
Please be advised, this pick up is for personal items only. Textbooks and other instructional materials are not included at this time.
Times: By Appointment Only - between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon

Information Regarding the Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV)
To help safe guard our students, staff and families here at EACS, we are carefully following the guidelines put in place by ASD, the CDC and WHO for the Coronavirus.
The Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) is a new respiratory virus that was first identified in Wuhan, China. Current symptoms reported for patients with 2019-nCoV have included a mild to severe respiratory illness with a fever, cough, and difficulty breathing.
Information about the Coronavirus is constantly being updated as new information emerges. The latest information from the US Department of Education COVID-19 can be found here.
Dr. Chandler, of the Anchorage Department of Health and State of Alaska Epidemiology Department, explained during his last interview that gathering information yourself is also important. He strongly recommended using websites with known facts about this virus which include: the CDC and World Health Organization. (click on the underlined websites) Dr. Chandler advises against getting information from social media. We also suggest that you monitor the ASD website frequently during spring break for updates relating to school operations.
Please contact our school nurse, Jan Gilbert, for additional questions or concerns.
