Your Daily Morning Covid Check Made Easier ~ Updated: Check out the revised COVID-19 Symptom Self-Assessment Tool from the Quebec Government’s website. This self-assessment tool is not intended to be a substitute for medical attention. Always follow the healthcare professional’s instructions.
Masks: Masks must be worn at drop off and dismissal as multiple grades are coming and going and there are many instances that the boys are closer than one meter in mixed groups.
Homework on Google Slides: Starting September 14, grades 1 to 6 parents and boys will be able to access their homework through google slides. Please note that the link will go live Monday afternoon. Zoom sessions will open at the beginning of each class to allow boys at home to touch base with the class. Depending on what is planned, it could be 10 minutes to a whole class lesson. These Zoom pop-ins are to support the homework that might be missed over a short period of time, and it is not intended as an on-line learning platform. If boys are away more than 14 days because of illness, we will proceed as we normally do, with a conversation with the family on how best to support a sick child at home.
Lunch Menu: Please check out the current lunch menu which can be found under Calendar > Food Services.
School Photos: Individual will be taken on Thursday, October 1st. Due to Covid-19, class photos will not be taken this year. Please ensure your son is well groomed.
Attestation day ~ Wednesday, September 30: Please be reminded that Wednesday, September 30 is the official MEES (Ministère de l'Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport) attendance verification day. On this day the school is required to report to the ministry the actual student attendance and subsequently register each student for the 2020-2021 academic year. Please avoid scheduling appointments on this day. Your child’s/children’s attendance will alleviate significant paperwork for families and the school. Thank you for your support! For questions, email Ms. Kelli Poulin (poulink@selwyn.ca).
Argyle Shop News: For the health & safety of the Selwyn community we strongly suggest on-line shopping for any Argyle Shop items. To visit the Argyle Shop parents must book an appointment during the following times Mondays 8:00–9:30am; Wednesdays 8:00–9:30am; Thursdays 1:30–3:30pm.
Student Directory (Updated regularly): The student directory is available online through OnCampus (www.selwyn.ca/oncampus). If you don't remember your OnCampus username and password, from the login page press “Forgot your login?” to request your username and/or reset your password. The directory is for the sole use of parents of current Selwyn House School students and are not to be reproduced or distributed.
Healthy School: In addition to our daily sanitizing procedures, the cleaners will be using an electrostatic sprayer at the end of each day in the classrooms and common areas. To see how the sprayer works, please watch this short video.
