~G-Suite Updates~ #58
Linked Objects
This new added feature gives users the ability to quickly access all linked content to see if anything is outdated and update all the content with a single click.
I can see this feature being used during PBL projects or end of unit projects. Students might have had to give a presentation using Google Slides along with gathering data and uploading data into a table with charts to follow. At the end of the project, students may have to write a comprehensive report in Google Doc and embed links to their other existing documents through that Google Doc.
In Docs or Slides ---> click tools ---> Linked Objects
Section Breaks in Google Docs
You're able to view where the section breaks are by going to view ---> show section break. Once section breaks is enabled, the blue dotted line will mark the presence of a break.
Import Questions From Previous Google Form
When creating your new Google Form, you should see the action bar on the right where you can choose to add a question, import a previous question, add title and description, etc.
Select Import Questions ---> select the previous form with the questions you want to use ---> a window pops up with all of the questions from that form ---> you can select a specific question or you can select all questions.
Click here to view a short video.
Google Classroom Mobile App
To use all of the features of the Classroom app, you will need to download Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google slides.
***A few favorite ways I use the app***
- Create directions using video- To do so, create an assignment ---> add an attachment ---> and choose "use camera".
- Randomly select a student. If you need to select students to group them, choose team captains, or any other reason, you can do that on the people tab. To use, go to your classroom ---> select random icon (at the top right-hand corner).
