A Few Words from Principal Smith
As we continue to build our partnership with our parents, you should be receiving an email from District Admin today regarding parental notice and consent requested for your student to complete the mySaebers survey. This survey is not new to USD 232, we have been using this survey for several years to help us meet the social, emotional, and academic needs of our students. This survey collects valuable information in a secured manner that helps us meet the needs of our students.
I encourage you to take a look at this survey so you know what it asks review mySAEBRS . Then go into your Skyward Family Access and provide consent by September 8, 2022. We will have all students who have parental consent complete this short survey between September 19 and September 23.
We work hard to meet the needs of our students so that they can achieve their best. Thank you for partnering with us to make your student's middle school experience the best that it can be.
Arriving Safely to School and Back Home
- Do not park in the parking lot and have your students walk across traffic to get to the school - this is not safe! Use the car loop
- If there is a reason for students to walk through the parking lot, they must use the cross walk.
- When walking to school or riding their bikes - Please review with them how to follow the traffic laws/rules.
- Students should only be crossing streets at cross walks
- Students should follow the traffic walk signals when at the light
- Parents please do not try to turn right when students are crossing the street
- The front parking lot is not meant to be driven through to avoid the stop light
Thank you all for helping to keep all of our students safe.
Timberwolf Success Program Is Back
More about the Timberwolf Success Program (TSP)?
- TSP is an after school support program open to all students.
- There will be several teachers available to help students finish homework, answer questions, provide small group reteaching, and much more.
- Every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday starting at 3:05 in the MTMS Media Center there will be teachers available to assist students.
- Students do not have to signup, they just need to plan on reporting to the Media Center by 3:05 and make sure that they have a way home at 4:30pm.
- Teachers may request students attend if they have missing work or are behind on a project.
- If students need to leave prior to 4:30pm, they just need to notify the teacher they are working with that day before they leave.
We have teachers at every grade level and core content that are excited to support our students during our Timberwolf Success times.

Seasonal Allergies
The nurse doesn’t have medication for seasonal allergies. Please give allergy medication at home. There are several over the counter brands that last 24 hours and there are eye drops specially formulated for seasonal allergies.
Immunizations
Thank you to everyone who has sent in immunization information. I will be continuing to update health records in Skyward for the next few weeks.
The Tdap vaccine (tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis) and the Meningococcal vaccine are required for 7th grade students.
Please use the following link for USD 232 Immunization Policy and Requirements
https://www.usd232.org/Page/3183
If your student has received or when he/she receives these immunizations please send documentation to the MTMS school nurse. Documentation includes-records from health care provider, copy of immunization card, or a copy of the bill with name of immunization and date received noted on the bill.
Documentation can be mailed to MTMS, faxed to MTMS, e-mailed to school nurse, or brought to the school during school hours by parents or student.
Documentation of immunization must be turned into the school by the 2nd Monday of October, October 10, 2022. If immunizations are not completed, students may not attend school after that date until the required immunization is completed.
Both of these vaccinations can be given at the same time.

Please contact MTMS school nurse with questions. Vaccinations on file can be viewed in Skyward Family Access under Health Info then select Show Vaccinations in the Display Options.
