EAGLE EXPRESS
January 6, 2020
Eagle Academy encourages academic excellence by integrating proven instructional methods with a challenging curriculum and high expectations. This combination provides every child with the foundation needed to achieve proficiency of Eagle Academy’s performance standards at each instructional level.
We hope that you enjoyed a relaxing winter break and are recharged and ready to drive right into the new year. We welcome and value your positive energy and dedication to excellence in education, and we look forward to renewing our working with you and your children.
As educators, we at Eagle Academy are thankful for all opportunities to impact young lives. Our students are the reason we’re here. As they returned to school this morning, the atmosphere was very positive.
As the second semester begins, the teachers, staff, and I have one vision for our students and we hope it closely matches yours. We want ALL of them to become all that they can be. We want them to strive for excellence through consistent attendance, perseverance, utilizing help from our faculty, and working diligently at home with you to reinforce those skills that are taught during class. We want this because these traits will build good habits that will be beneficial throughout their life. We expect a great deal from them because we believe that each and every one of our students are so very capable of reaching excellence!
Sincerely,
Deanne Carroll - Principal

CALLING ALL DADS
Eagle Academy Charter School values and appreciates the contributions and support we receive from all of our amazing stakeholders. We would not be the school that we are without your support. We would like to send out a special invitation to our dads to come spend some time volunteering so that our boys can have more opportunities to see and interact with men in the school environment. We believe that your presence in the building will be of great benefit in helping to build character in our young men.
Below is a list of opportunities that we hope some of our dads will take advantage of. We are always open to your suggestions on how we can work together to create an environment that you feel comfortable spending time in.
- Greenhouse clean-up and repairs (Mrs. Timberlake)
- Storage Room Reorganization (front office)
- Replace hooks in classrooms (front office)
- Snow removal (anytime it snows. shovels are outside front entry)
- Playground duty (referee/coach soccer, dodgeball, flag football, etc.)(front office)
- Support in the classrooms (classroom teachers)
- Develop and manage an after-school club for our boys (Principal Carroll)
You can contact the front office, Mrs. Carroll, or any classroom teacher for more information on these and other dad-friendly volunteer opportunities. We hope to hear from you soon.

CITRUS ORDER UPDATE
Knock Knock, Who's There?, Orange, Orange Who?
"Orange" you glad our citrus is almost here?! Our fruit has been picked and sent to Seattle to ship up! It should be leaving Seattle Monday/Tuesday. Once we get a confirmed date of delivery (could range from later this week to early next week) we will let everyone know!
We could also use some helping hands to unload the fruit once it gets to the school! The truck usually arrives between 8-10 am, so if you are available during that window and can repeatedly lift 20 pound boxes - we need you! Thank you!
