Reopening Schools Presentation
2020 has been a challenging year. One of those challenges has been attending school virtually. We would like to highlight the efforts of our educators. Have you seen or experienced some excellent online instruction? Teachers and staff who have gone the extra mile to make online content engaging? Let us know!
Mindful Movements
In this section, you will find fun and easy ways to get your child/children and yourself moving. There will also be healthy tips!! We encourage you to take pictures of your Mindful Movements at home and add them to the Carver Twitter account. There will be an incentive for families who participate!!
This week, challenge yourself to take at least THREE 5-minute walking breaks each day. Walk as quickly as you can during these walking breaks.
COME GET SOME LUNCH!!!!
Drop by G.W. Carver on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 11-1 for FREE breakfast & lunch pick up for students! ALL STUDENTS ARE WELCOME!!!

News from the Front Office!
We know that returning to the building raises some questions. The link below will provide some guidelines that we will be enforcing here at G.W. Carver. Please read through this document carefully. There is a link in the document to use if you have any questions. The questions will be answered at the Virtual Parent Meeting mentioned below.
Return to School Parent Communication
Please see the following link, which provides the guidelines to follow should your child exhibit symptoms that resemble those that come with COVID-19 or what to do if your child should come in contact with someone that tests positive for COVID-19.
Do you need to know which bus your student will ride? Follow the link below to the SMCPS Department of Transportation website and visit the Bus stop locator. Here you will find Bus #s, times, and bus stop information. Once you click the link, click on the SMCPS Elocator.
In addition, we encourage you to use the "Here Comes the Bus" app. This app lets you track the bus in real time. All of the buses will be running more than one route due to safety measures and precautions. It is very important that we show them grace and patience. They may arrive later or earlier than their scheduled time. Using the app will let you stay on top of their location. Directions for downloading the app are linked below in both English and Spanish.
If your child will be carpool for the return to school, please read the procedures carefully, print, complete, sign and return the document to the school. Hard copies are also available at the school to pick up during lunch pickup times.
Below you will find a link that will give you more information about that cleaning procedures that will take place in all St. Mary's County Public Schools.
