Parent/Teacher Conferences
Conferences are set for the dates and times listed below:
Tuesday, November 6th from 4:00 - 7:30 pm
Thursday, November 8th from 4:00 - 7:30 pm

Halloween Costume Bash!
On October 31st, students and staff will be allowed to wear a costume in school for the day. This is a voluntary activity and students do NOT have to participate by wearing a costume. All costumes must be appropriate for school. Students should plan on wearing their costume to school for the day as we will not be allowing children to put on their costume at arrival. Please be sure to check if your child has gym class. If their costume restricts movement please send other clothes and shoes for them to change into for gym.

No weapons (swords, knives, guns, etc.)
No props (wands, microphones, etc.)

Extra Clothing Needed!
A supply of extra clothes is available in the health room in case students have a bathroom accident, lunchroom spill, or fall in a puddle. We ask that borrowed clothes are washed and returned to school as soon as possible. Thank you!!
Student Information Updates/School Fees
If you have not yet remitted payment for your child's annual fees, you may do so online using the Student Quick Pay feature on the district's website. You may pay fees for all of your children who attend the Howard-Suamico School District. You will need to know your child's Student I.D. number. Student IDs were listed on your child's placement email. If you prefer to pay by cash or check, you can remit payment to school with your child. The 2018-2019 school fees are as follows: Grades K-4: $20.00 Textbook Rental Fee. An additional $35.00 Technology Insurance Fee applies only to 3rd and 4th grade.

Forest Glen PTO has partnered with several businesses in the area to bring you regularly scheduled fundraising opportunities throughout the year. On the third Thursday of each month, a local business has offered to support Forest Glen with a fundraising event. When you order from that month’s business, mention Forest Glen or bring in the flyer that will be sent home and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Forest Glen!

Seroogy's Fundraiser
The Forest Glen PTO will be doing a fall Seroogy’s candy sale, rather than a spring sale this year. Stuff stockings and get your holiday shopping done easily and early for friends and family! Order forms were sent home last week, and are due back to the office no later than Thursday, November 8th.
Community Corner
The Howard - Suamico School District is partnering with local organizations to feature a Community Page that includes a list highlighed events for families in the villages of Howard, Suamico, and Green Bay i.e. scouting,festivals, parades, etc.
- 2018 Bay Nordic Youth Program is offering Nordic skiing to children ages 3 to 12 years old. Sign ups begin on October 15th.
- Pirate Fastpitch is offering young athletes the opportunity to participate in competitive tournament team softball! Click here for Pirate Fastpitch Tournament Team Information.
- Artworks for Kids is offering a few fun and seasonal Saturday classes that they will be holding at Artworks for Kids this fall/winter. These classes are a great opportunity to try Artworks for the first time and are great for kids ages 4–12 years old. Saturdays, December 1, 8 & 15 -Gingerbread Classes. - Bay Port's Student Council will be hosting a Halloween Fest on October 25th from 6:00-7:30 pm!
- Interested in learning to play tennis? Register today to join the Bayport Youth Tennis Club! Available to grades K-4th and 5th-8th, starting in November at the Four Seasons Tennis Club, 3600 Block, Riverside Dr, Green Bay. Click here for information on dates and times.
- Register today for the 2018-2019 Youth Wrestling Program for pre-kindergarten through 5th grade. Registration can be done online and will remain open until November 12th.
Bay Port Boys Youth Basketball
The Bay Port boys' basketball coaching staff will provide basketball opportunities for boys in 1st through 4th grade. These programs will emphasize player skill development. Click here to sign up!

- Belle’s Ball - Daddy Daughter Dance sponsored by Bay Port DECA will be held on November 14th from 6-8 pm at the Townline Banquet Hall. This event will benefit the Howard-Suamico Mental Health Plan. The cost is $25 per family and $5 per additional daughter. There will be light appetizers provided, cookie decorating, Beauty and the Beast themed games, and a photo wall. Princess dresses or costumes are encouraged!
Saturday, November 17, 9am - 2pm, Bay Port Dram Club Workshop at Bay Port for children ages Kindergarten-6th grade. The theme this year is Tangled! The cost for this workshop is $25 which includes lunch. Reservations must be made by 11/9/18. Please email registrations to Mrs. Belden at pambeld@hssd.k12.wi.us or mail to Pam Belden, 2710 Lineville Road, Green Bay, WI, 54313. Checks are payable to Bay Port Drama Club, which need to be received by November 9th.

If you are looking to request the use of one of the district’s facilities, it’s easy! Just click on the Request Facilities button from the calendar page and sign up. It’s that simple. If you have questions, contact the school office at 662-7958. Requests for facility usage are subject to approval based on administrative policy 7510.
School Board Connection with Mark Ashley
District residents approved the Board of Education’s proposed tax levy in support of an operating budget of $86M – and the purchase of the 10-acre parcel of land in the Village of Suamico.
