The Reading for Education Program (Mr. Earl) starts this week!!!!
We are excited to announce that Starr school is participating in the Reading for Education program (formerly called Mr. Earl Program). Tuesday, your student will be bringing home an envelope with the words “Dear Parents” across the top along with a flyer that explains the program. Please take 15 minutes or so to complete the postcards in the envelope and return them to school. That is all you have to do for your student to earn an immediate prize and our school to earn money. It is a very easy way for our school to earn money. Starr school receives 50 cents per completed postcard and a $500 bonus if we reach our goal of 2090 completed postcards. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR HELP & SUPPORT!
The Scholastic Book Fair is starting next week. The students love the opportunity to look through all the new titles and their favorite authors. Thank you to the Starr Parent Organization for making this happen once again.
Kindergarten Registration and Safety Town Information Night is coming soon. Mark your calendars. It will be Thursday, April 6th at 6:00pm at Clay High School in the auditorium. Please plan on attending if you have an upcoming 2017-2018 Oregon City Schools kindergartener starting next year. You will be able to ask questions and sign up for kindergarten at your home school. The kindergarten teachers and district leaders will be there to answer any questions you have about the upcoming year! You will also have access to Safety Town information with Officer Shaw and Mrs. Kowalski. A positive and essential program for kindergarteners. It is a program that teaches traffic safety and school safety. A tradition that is ongoing and available to all incoming Oregon City Schools kindergarteners.
Just a reminder.....
