“Protect me, Holy Spirit, that I may always be holy!” St. Augustine
Blessings to all as we continue to move through the days of November ever thankful for the blessings we enjoy in our lives.
The school is especially thankful to our school families for participating in the Box of Joy project. The school delivered 48 boxes full of joy and gifts to the parish. Enough funds were supplied to pay the postage as well! What a generous and giving community we have here. Special thanks to Alice Kampeter for making rosaries to put in the boxes.
Students in Grades 5-8 enjoyed listening to author James Ponti as he shared his journey of writing books for young adults.
Look for student ITBS scores (Grade 3 – 8) they should be arriving home soon if they have not already been received. Feel free to contact the teacher or the principal if you would like to discuss the results.
A change is coming to the school’s After School Care program. Letters regarding this change will be distributed to families in the After School Care program today (Friday, Nov. 9) and Monday, Nov. 12.
Spirit Day. Our next Spirit Day will be Tuesday, Nov 20. Students may wear their Spirit Day shirts on that day. Students may opt to dress down on this same day for $1.00 or a canned food item to donate to the Samaritan center. This is the same day that we have our annual 8th Grade vs Faculty Volleyball game in the afternoon. We also are having an evening basketball scrimmage and collecting canned food items and money for the Samaritan Center.
Oh dear, I made a mistake! If you were confused about the dress down day for today, that is certainly understandable. I work with about four different calendars and failed to remove the Dress Down Day from the one that is on the website. Those students who dressed down today, paid their $1.00 and hopefully their day went on as usual. Please accept my apologies for this oversite. The students were great today with understanding my error.
