Academic League Wins
MEA’s academic league team improved to an overall record of 3-2 on Thursday night after defeating CCPAA. Aaron C, Kate P, Yusuf A, Selina L, Nora D, and Ben S. were the participants.
This result comes after a nail biting loss against undefeated Serra High the previous week. The Serra match (or Horpayak Sister Civil War) came down to the last question, which was the difference in the match and 1st place in the league standings. What an exciting season!! Next match will be 3/7 at Madison High at 7pm.
Caps & Gowns for Seniors
Seniors who chose to purchase the cap, gown and tassel will have an invoice from Josten’s in a couple days via the email you provided to Mrs Sink. If you did not provide an email address, a paper invoice will automatically be sent. Emailed invoices go out the first month and if no payment is made, a paper invoice goes out the second month.
Reminder: the next item on the senior graduation checklist is to turn in your Community Service Form to your supervising teacher by April 19.

And if you'd like to participate in another way, we'll also be looking for student stagehands and MC's. This will be a great opportunity to share your talents for a grand evening of entertainment!
SILENT AUCTION CONTRIBUTIONS
As well as being entertained by our talented students, part of the fun of this annual event is bidding on exciting gift baskets and certificates. Gift baskets will be put together from the donations that come in, so anything you can donate is wonderful! And if you own a business and would like to donate a service or basket item, please let us know!
Ideas for Requesting Donations
- Gift certificate for one month of classes where your child takes a class (i.e. karate, dance, etc)
- Donation of service from a friend or family business (i.e. hairstylist could offer one shampoo/cut/style)
- Donation of an electronic device from someone who has 'perks' through their office (i.e. IPOD, tablet, digital camera, etc)
- Donation of an overnight stay or your timeshare you never use (do you have points or a timeshare you never use that could become a donation/staycation?)
- Donation of tickets (Do you have tickets to a game or show you are not able to attend after 4/11?)
- Photography (Are you a photographer looking to donate a session and get some advertising by putting your name out in our event?)
You can bring your donations to the front office or to any teacher. We want this to be the best Silent Auction ever!
This is an ASB sponsored event and all donations go directly back to our student body. Thank you in advance for supporting our school!
