From the Library
Reading Challenge- From Jan. 1 to Jan. 31, Larkspur is participating in “All the Feels,” a Winter Reading Challenge sponsored by Beanstack. We challenge our school community to read at least 10,000 minutes during the month and keep track of their reading on our Beanstack site. Students will need to go to Launchpad at launchpad.classlink.com/leander, sign in, and then click on the Beanstack logo. Another option is to download the Beanstack mobile app. Students sign in on Launchpad is lastname_studentID (only first 8 letters of last name- for example Mrs. Bresnehen's would be bresnehe_999999).
Thousands of other libraries and schools across the nation are joining in too, for a chance at winning cash prizes for their community. Happy reading, Larkspur!
Bluebonnet Reader Reminder- Students in 3rd-5th grade interested in being a Texas Bluebonnet Reader have until the end of the month (Jan. 31st) to read at least 5 of the Texas Bluebonnet Award List books and to log them on Beanstack. Bluebonnet Readers will get to vote for the nominee they want to win the Texas Bluebonnet Award. They will also be added to our Wall of Fame, be invited to a celebration event, and be eligible to be chosen for the Larkspur Battle of the Bluebonnet team (to be announced early February). Let Mrs. Bresnehen know if you have any questions!

PTA News
Thank you!!!
Please check out this note from Brittany Farrow, 1st VP of Membership and Committees.
Hello Larkspur Families,
I wanted to let you know about some opportunities for you to become more involved at your student's school. The Larkspur PTA has several committees that you can join and you do not have to be a PTA member to serve on a committee, although we would love for you to join PTA as well!! Please click on the link below to look at the options still available.
Before being allowed into the school to volunteer, you will need to click the link below to become an approved volunteer through LISD if you have not already done so.

Additionally, if you have signed up for a committee, please be on the lookout for an email from the committee chair. This email will contain the planning and coordination of events for each committee.
We truly appreciate all the support you each have already shown our school, our teachers, our students, and our PTA.
Thank you,
Brittany Farrow, 1st VP of Membership and Committees
