Looking back on November
Dec. 3
Graham's board game: "Seattle Scout"
Cleo, Naomi, Cole, Arlo, and Graham playing "Seattle Scout". Having a blast! Seattle Scout was the project Graham made and designed.
Cleo is writing her persuasive piece on Pardon or Plate.
The class was given an assignment to write to President Obama from a turkey's perspective. The turkey had to ask to be pardoned instead of sitting on a plate and being eaten.
Reading Pays Off!
After reading two sections of the reading log the students got a break. Kids could choose to go to the movie, Holes, or to the crafts room. If students didn't finish the reading log, they were in Reading Prison until they finished up. THANK YOU TEACHERS!
Board Games!
Five of us created board games in Mrs.Ledbetter's class. Once we finished the class, we got to play the unique board games. This was Willam's board game "Star Wars Trivia."
Engineering!
Towards the end of November, we did an engineering project on building a turkey trap.
Rich Math Task
The class did a Rich Math Task problem about cooking a turkey. Kyle's group explained their work on a whiteboard. Take a look.
Poems
Lorraine Ferra came in on four different days to help us look at the world with a creative eye. She taught us different styles and techniques on how to write poems.
Newsletter in progress!
This is a picture of Isabelle and Tiarnan working on the November Newsletter. The one that you are reading. We hoped you liked it and got a over view of what we were doing in November.
