St. Stan Star
April 30th, 2021
Happy Friday!
We are on the home stretch!!! May is right around the corner, unbelievable!!!
The week of May 3rd-7th is Teacher Appreciation Week. What an awesome time for your student to write a note, make a card, or pass along words of thanks to the many dedicated staff members at St. Stanislaus! I know the staff appreciates these gestures!
The school would like to extend a huge thank you to Jenny Lamb, Chris Lock, and the Pro-Life group from church. We appreciate all of hard work and time throughout the year. Wednesday, the 5th, will be our last Pro-Life Wednesday for the year!
Changes: There are several changes coming to the St. Stanislaus staff next year!
*Mrs. Kaylea Bruns will not be returning next year. We are sad to see Mrs. Bruns leave but we are excited that she will have time at home with her sweet baby! Mrs. Blake Stockman (formerly Burks) will be our new kindergarten teacher. Mrs. Stockman has two years teaching experience and a passion for educating young students. We are thrilled to welcome Mrs. Stockman!
*Mrs. Christy Bolzenius will not be returning at the end of this school year. Mrs. Bolzenius has taught for 37 years in the Catholic School System. It is always hard to replace great teachers but we are happy for Mrs. Bolzenius to spend time with her grandson! Mrs. Bethany Herrbold will be our new 2nd grade teacher! Mrs. Herrbold was a long-term sub for St. Stan’s this year and has a long history with St. Stan’s. All of Mrs. Herrbold’s kids have either attended or is attending St. Stan’s. We feel Mrs. Herrbold will be a great addition to the staff and to guide students through a Sacramental year!
*Mrs. Kathy Rackers will also be retiring at the end of this school year. Mrs. Rackers has been a teacher in the Diocese for 41 years. Mrs. Rackers has been at St. Francis and St. Stanislaus. We are excited for Mrs. Rackers to have the opportunity to spend time with her family! Mrs. Lopez will become the new part-time resource teacher! Mrs. Lopez currently teaches art but is excited about a move to work with students in this position!
*Ms. Emmi Theroff is setting off for a new adventure in the fall. Ms. Theroff is taking time to work on a master’s degree. We have loved the excitement for learning that Ms. Theroff has given to the kids this year but we are also excited for her to follow her dreams. Mrs. Laura Rudolph will be the new 6th grade homeroom teacher. Mrs. Rudolph is excited to share her passion for student learning! Mrs. Rudolph is currently an amazing part of the St. Stanislaus staff; we are blessed to have Mrs. Rudolph change roles.
I will send out additional updates and changes as those become available.
Blessings,
Mrs. Angie Shelangoski
