A Message from Mr. Finkle!
On Friday, April 27th, fifty-four DHS female students volunteered to participate in a day long workshop to learn about the process of running and winning elected offices. Students created their own political campaigns and presented their campaigns to their peers. Congratulations to all our students for a job well done. Click here to learn more about this wonderful event.
I would like to bring to your attention a new and dangerous trend among teenagers. It is the use of e-cigarette or what they call Juuling derived from the popular brand name, Juul. Juul is a sleek, rectangular vaporizing device that delivers a concentrated form of nicotine. It looks like a USB flash drive, and can even be plugged into a laptop to charge. Like smoking a regular cigarette, the nicotine from Juul or other e-cigarettes gets into teens’ lungs and bloodstream and keeps them coming back for more. 6ABC recently did a report on this topic. I encourage every parent/guardian to watch the second video in their report and learn the dangers of this new trend.
As the school year begins to come to a close, we are looking forward to our annual end-of-the-year events and showcasing our students' talents. Please check the list of events provided below or on our web site. Come out and support our students!

Alumni Walk DEADLINE 5-11-18
We are paving the way to celebrate Bear Pride! The Advisors from the Class of 2017 are working on their inlay design. We are very hopeful this year’s Senior Class will buy a brick and cast their permanent legacy on DHS. It looks like we have established a new tradition of not only allowing a platform for individuals, but also each graduating class as a whole, to leave their mark. Please consider purchasing a brick in order to pave the entire walkway. The link for purchasing a brick is below. The new deadline is Friday, May 11th. We would also like to acknowledge the work of Best Cut Lawn-care and Landscaping for installing our bricks. They have donated their time and talents to DHS and provided their work free of charge. Thanks you Phil Velo and Best Cut. Click HERE for more information.
Delran High School Happenings
Congratulations Kelly Mesisca!
Congrats Students of the Month!
Cole was nominated because he is the most respectful and diligent students Mr. Atkinson had the pleasure of working with here at DHS. His quiet and polite disposition hides a work ethic unlike any other. He is always backstage in the Performing Arts Center creating new props, fixing busted guitar cords or climbing the scaffolds to hang new L.E.Ds. He is the consummate "behind the scenes" young man. Cole is also a strong student in the classroom. He exemplifies the 3 Cs: caring, conscientious and courteous.
Colin is the nerve center and brain power behind what goes on in the Performing Arts Center and beyond. His technological prowess is second to none. Colin has done everything from regulating microphone levels during our school assemblies to engineering lighting and sound design for our theater productions. He is also the student that teachers go to when something is wrong with their technology equipment. Colin always assists and makes suggestions to ensure longer life or better performance on computers and cell phones. He loves what he does and takes great pride in picking up new skills along the way.
Congratulations Cole and Colin!

The Delran baseball team has been excellent all season. They have won 9 of their last 10 games and are in great position to be Patriot Division Champions again.
