St. Stan Star
May 8, 2020
Dear St. Stanislaus Families
Happy Friday!
One more week . . . we are in the home stretch!
This will be the last Star of the 2019-2020 school year.
Please watch for announcements over the summer.
Packets will be at the back of church on the weekend of July 18th & 19th.
Report cards will be mailed from school on Friday the 22nd of May, as long as all textbooks, workbooks, library books, and supplies belonging to school are turned in on May 15th!
A huge thank you goes out to Kenya Fuemmeler for her incredible job as interim superintendent this year. I am sure she will be delighted to focus solely on Helias Catholic next school year in her role as President! Dr. Erin Vader is the new Superintendent of Schools for the Jefferson City Diocese. Dr. Vader joins us from Texas and has jumped into her new role with enthusiasm. We are excited to see where her vision for Catholic education takes us in the future! Welcome Dr. Vader!
May 15th is the last day of school!!! St. Stanislaus teachers and staff would like to wave good-bye to their students (6 ft. apart)! ALL WORK MUST BE COMPLETED AND TURNED IN PHYSICALLY ON THE 15TH OR ONLINE BY MIDNIGHT ON THE 14TH.
HERE IS THE FINAL DROP-OFF PLAN:
Where: St. Stan Gym (enter through main gym doors/exit through doors by the art room).
When: Friday, May 15th
Time: 4 p.m.- 6 p.m.
Who: St. Stanislaus Students (and parents)
Bring: ALL TEXTBOOKS OR ITEMS THAT BELONG TO SCHOOL AND ANY WORK THAT NEEDS TO BE TURNED IN TO YOUR TEACHER!
*Home and School is supplying each student with a Gatorade. This treat will be located by the EXIT doors (near the art room). Please be sure to have your student grab one on the way out. There will also be a table of various books. Students may take a book if they would like one. Thank you to Home and School for supplying this for our students!
*Each teacher will be located behind their grade level table to accept items. They will not be giving hugs in order to observe the social distancing rule and to help keep everyone healthy. Please feel free to give them a big wave and a huge smile!
*We will use the same set up as we used with previous pick up/drop off dates. 8th grade will be located closest to the cafeteria and the grades will continue in descending order around to early childhood.
A couple of updates:
*8th grade graduation is tentatively scheduled for Monday, July 13th (this will not be open to the public due to social distancing restrictions).
*At this point, the starting/ending and Christmas breaks stand as announced:
Start: Thursday, August 20th, 2020
Last Day: Friday, May 21st, 2021
Christmas Break: December 21st-January 1st (out at 12:30 on the 18th and returning on the 4th)
As soon as we get the go ahead from the Diocesean School Office, we will send out the calendar for next year.
On behalf of Father Medina and the St. Stanislaus Team, we wish you all a wonderful summer filled with faith and adventure! We pray for your health, happiness, and safety and look forward to your return in the fall! It is with full hearts that we send our eighth grade class forward for new adventures. We wish them luck, health and happiness as they move on to a new adventure. We will miss their gifts and leadership but we are so proud they will always count St. Stanislaus as part of their journey!
Blessings,
Mrs. Angie Shelangoski
