Fall Festival Appreciation
Thanks so much to all who attended our Fall Festival last Wednesday! We had some wonderful student performers and your ASB students worked hard to create a fun event for our community. We appreciate the support that was showed to them and the good time that was had by all!

Movie, "Unbroken Ground"

Come to Ms. Pachon's room during lunch on Tuesday, November 8th for a free movie and snacks! The movie, called Unbroken Ground, was produced by Patagonia and explores the topic sustainable agriculture. Hosted by the MEA Environmental Club. We hope to see you there! Link to movie trailer
Lunch Concert

Mission Fed JA Program for 10th graders
The Mission Federal JA program for 10th graders includes one more lunch meeting on Wednesday and a field trip. The schedule is as follows:
- Lunch meeting: Wednesday, November 9, in the cafeteria, pizza will be served!
- Unlocking the Genius Field Trip: Monday, Nov. 14, 8:15-2:00. Students will be picked up/dropped off at MEA by school bus.
Veteran's Day Holiday
Friday, November 11
School will be closed this Friday for Veteran's Day.

This Thursday, Nov. 10, from 1:50-2:50, join the Eco Warriors Club on the grass outside the science lab. We will be talking about sustainable agriculture, doing an art project, and exploring our very own organic garden at school! (For grades 2-6)

California Coastal Art & Poetry Contest
California students in kindergarten through 12th grade are invited to submit artwork or poetry with a California coastal or marine theme to the Coastal Commission’s annual Coastal Art & Poetry Contest. Entries must be postmarked by January 31, 2017.
