St. Stan Star
March 25th, 2021
Happy Thursday
Please read the following letter from Dr. Erin Vader, the Superintendent of schools for the Diocese of Jefferson City. Starting in the 2021-2022 school year, ALL parents will be required to complete Virtus training. This step is in an effort to encourage ALL parents to volunteer time and talents with our schools. Please read the following letter and let me know if you have any questions.
Again, all parents (both parents) are required to be Virtus trained by the end of the summer, prior to school starting in August.
Thank you,
Mrs. Angie Shelangoski

Archery Update
As was mentioned in the previous Star, 21 archers represented our school at Branson last week. It was a memorable experience. With a team score of 1,574, our team finished eleventh place among the 25 middle school teams who competed!
I’m also very pleased to share what transpired after our last arrow hit its mark. Please keep in mind there were 1,117 archers who competed in the three-day 3D tournament. As we were making our way off the range, I was stopped by an employee of the MO Department of Conservation who was working the event. She told me she sees a lot kids come through the tournament and wanted to let me know how favorable of an impression our kids made. Our kids, she said, were the most well behaved, polite and respectful group she’s ever seen. She said our group would be the shining star of her weekend. Well done, Raiders!
