For the Week of October 19
SAEBRS survey
Dear Monticello Trails Families,
The USD 232 has identified social and emotional growth as a key component in our district’s goal to improve both student achievement and well-being. In addition, social and emotional growth outcomes will be measured as part of our accreditation process.
Monticello Trails students will participate in a survey again this year called SAEBRS. The survey results will give us information to target for growth in areas to best support our students. The SAEBRS survey will be taken by students in their Social Studies classes starting October 26th.
Parents may have their children opt out from participation in this survey. Opt-outs should be in writing (email is acceptable) and submitted to the building principal prior to taking the surveys.
Thank you for your ongoing support!
If you have questions regarding this survey, please let me know.

From the Counselors
Technology can be a fun way to stay connected with friends and family however, it can also potentially put teens in dangerous situations. Below are a few articles that address safety concerns with popular apps like Snapchat and TikTok. The last article lists popular apps for 2020 and what parents need to know in order to keep kids safe. Next week our School Resource Officer, Officer Wilson, and counselors will be talking to students about how to stay safe online.
