St. Stan Star

“Protect me, Holy Spirit, that I may always be holy!” St. Augustine
Thank you for your participation in Catholic Schools Week. It was so nice to see so many of our school families, about 85%, on Family Day last Friday. Though it may have seemed like a long day, look at all that you got to experience in that three hour span of time! From the teacher perspective, it was really nice to visit with each group and share something about our school with you. I do believe our students also enjoyed the many activities about the mission of Catholic schools.
Registration for 2019 - 2020
It is that time of year that the school begins enrolling new students to our school through Kindergarten and Early Childhood. It is also time to register current students for the 2019-
2020 school year.
K-8 Current families will register online through the Option C portal. See instructions for this re-enrollment in the STAR today.

The letter is also being mailed to any family who has expressed an interest in our school but is not a registered parish family. being immunized.” (DSR5105). In the past, we accepted exemptions from immunization on the basis of religious beliefs (“Religious Exemptions”) AND on the basis of a medical
contraindication (“Medical Exemptions”). Beginning July 1, 2019, our school will no longer
accept Religious Exemptions, but will ONLY accept Medical Exemptions that are confirmed by a statement from a duly licensed physician. It is the parents’/guardians’ responsibility to
obtain the confirmation from a duly licensed physician to support the request for a Medical
Exemption.
At this time, we have used four snow days, the first three were built into the calendar and do not need to be made up. We will make up a day on Monday, Feb. 18. The following days will be used as make up days in this order should it become necessary: Holy Thursday, April 18; Easter Monday, April 22; and May 17.

St. Stanislaus School is excited to begin planning for the 2019-2020 school year!
This will be a short presentation about kindergarten designed for parents and guardians of eligible students. It is a great opportunity to check out the parish school and to do an early registration if you desire. We are happy to share with you how the school builds faith, promotes leadership, and encourages reading through the Super Kids program.
A child must be five years old before August 1, 2019 to be eligible to register.
Bringing copies of the following items will help complete the registration and speed up the process:
1. Baptismal Certificate
2. Immunization Record
3. Birth Certificate
4. Social Security Number* (It is not necessary to bring the SSN card, just know the number)
The kindergarten teacher and principal will be on hand to help you understand the value of Catholic education and to answer any questions you may have about kindergarten or about St. Stanislaus School.
If you know of a family who is interested in attending St. Stanislaus School, please pass on this information.
We are looking forward to adding your child to the newest class at St. Stanislaus School!
