PRAIRIE POST
October 9, 2020
Message from the Principal
Hello Prairie Friends and Families,
Conferences are coming soon! Fall conferences will be held virtually on October 21st and 27th. Please take a look at this document to learn more about how to sign up for conferences and how to attend conferences virtually. We look forward to meeting with all of our families to celebrate the growth our learners are making already this year!
This week we are celebrating coming together as a whole school community for the first time this year! On Thursday afternoon we gathered virtually for a read aloud. Our face to face learners and virtual learners were able to attend! We read the book Dreamers by Yuyi Morales to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. Our learners and teachers were thrilled to have the opportunity to join together. We are already planning for additional activities that bring all of our learners together to celebrate the strength of our Prairie community.
We are Team Prairie!
We are stronger together!

PTA News
Our first Box Top collection is due by October 26th. Please send your box tops with your children so we can get them postmarked before the deadline. We are looking for someone to volunteer to manage our Box Tops for Education account. We also want to encourage families to get the box tops app for easy scanning at home as well as in person vouchers.
Unfortunately, Taco John's has cancelled the PTA Night scheduled for October 14th. They still currently do not have indoor dining and are not accommodating any fundraising groups at this time.
