There is no simple answer to guarantee resilience in every situation. The ASD & FPCS strives helps our students to develop the ability to negotiate their own challenges, to adapt well to adversity, trauma, tragedy, threats or even significant sources of stress.
Through instruction in Health Education and SEL skill development, we can teach our students to manage stress and feelings of anxiety and uncertainty.
Note: Direct instruction in suicide awareness and prevention occurs in grades 6 and 8 in ASD brick and mortar buildings. It is highly recommended that FPCS families also include instruction in suicide awareness and prevention in middle school as well.
