SHOOTING SPORTS PRACTICES FOR HAMILTON COUNTY!!
There are two clubs in our county plus many certified leaders who are willing to work with you! In order to compete at the county fair contest, a 4-H member must have had 4 practices under a certified leader. Here is the list of the opportunities:
The Hamilton County Shooting Sports 4-H Club is led by Leland and Angie Stump. They require 4 practice shoots with certified instructors. Their email is laekrstump@gmail.com. There are opportunities for youth to shoot BB, archery, pistol/rifle. They will shoot BB/ Archery every other Sunday in the month of June starting June 4, and some in July at 5 PM (for experienced shooters) and 6 PM for new shooters on the south side of the Hamilton County Fairgrounds. Any previous shooters who would like to stay and help instruct the new shooters are welcome to stay, this would allow you more shooting time.
If you are interested in rifle/shotgun please contact Angie through her email to find out exact times and details on requirements for their club in this discipline.
The Prairie Fire Shooting Sports 4-H Club is led by Renee Ekhoff. Her contact number is 402-631-9466 and her email is rekhoff@gips.org. There are different practices for those who are interested in archery and for those who are interested in pistol/rifle.

1) Raise Your Hand – Complete the form at http://4-h.org/raise-your-hand to show your pride as a 4‑H alum.
2) Compete for your state – Raising your hand is a vote towards a $20,000, $10,000 or $5,000 award for the states with the most alumni hands raised.
3) Pay it Forward – Tweet, post and share your #4HGrown experience or support and tag fellow alumni asking them to raise their hands for their state at http://4‑H.org/RaiseYourHand.
